  1. This is the bellcore source code modified to compile "out-of-the-box"
  2. for NeXT platform. I make no guarantees, but all the changes were
  3. trivial. Basically it is the same as a sunos4 make. I added a "next"
  4. target to the makefiles. A bug in login.c was fixed that had to do
  5. with long hostnames. The original source is still here so you can see
  6. the changes for yourself. You may have to copy or link libskey.a into
  7. some of the source directories (so build it first in the src
  8. directory). I haven't played at all with the ftpd.c so it might not
  9. compile at all. I also lifted some code from the logdaemon source and
  10. merged it in to make an md5 version of the skey library. This
  11. modification is in srcmd5. I haven't really tested it at all, but the
  12. merge was straightforward. You can use that instead of the usual md4
  13. lib if you'd like.

  15. Use this software at your own risk. I believe the changes to be safe,
  16. but I am no expert. The source is there so you can judge for yourself
  17. if you feel comfortable using it. The United States Government, Los
  18. Alamos National Laboratory, the University of California, and I make
